Shoppers saved dogs
Wednesday, 18 April 2012
STAFF at a West Devon animal rescue centre were delighted with the donations from shoppers at a fundraising event recently.
Centre Manager Alan Ging and staff members Deana Perrin and Kirsty White from Margaret Green Animal Rescue and Rehoming Centre in Tavistock, had a stand outside the town’s Morrisons and brought with them a couple of rescue dogs in need of homes.
Alan Ging said: ‘The response was fantastic. We raised £925. Not only was the support from Morrisons’ customers great but Dizzy the English Bull Terrier and Tiggy the Cocker Spaniel were both rehomed through being seen there! We would like to say a very big thank you to Morrisons for helping us to raise much needed funds for our rescue and rehoming work.’
