Meet experts from the crafting world and discover an Aladdin’s cave of creative crafting supplies from over 150 exhibitors from across the region and UK, with the very latest products, ideas and innovations. Be transported to a bygone era with a selection of stunning costumes from some of the most famous television and film adaptations of Jane Austen’s beloved novels. With the star-studded collection including costumes from BBC’s ‘Pride and Prejudice’ and the Oscar winning film ‘Sense and Sensibility’, this is a fantastic opportunity to see exactly what goes in to the creation of some of the most iconic outfits in costume drama. Embrace the ‘Make do and Mend’ trend at the fantastic Sewing Hub where you can overcome your fear of sewing machines at the Sewing Machine Clinic or peruse all the latest patterns at the Dressmakers’ Pattern Bar. Devon based knitters Ruth and Belinda will be in the Knitting Lounge with their latest project and offering their expert advice. Moor Foreshore Moor Foreshore runs a monthly Craft and Gift Fayre held in Tavistock Town Hall showcasing high quality, local traders. Each month offers over 20 different stalls and products run by local artists and crafters offering a range of high quality, unique gifts. The highlight of our year is Dickensian day, which coincides with Tavistock’s Christmas light switch on, when all of the traders dress in Dickensian costumes. This is on Friday 30th November and is not to be missed. In addition to the monthly event Moor Foreshore Handmade only fayre, a new edition to the calendar, will take place on Saturday 10th November, featuring exceptionally high quality local crafters, where all products will be handmade to the highest possible standards by the people there.
